Audrey received her Bachelors of Arts from St. Andrews University in North Carolina in 2011, and went on to complete her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Irvine in 2020. Audrey utilizes post-modern therapeutic modalities to empower her clients in her clinical work, particularly Narrative Therapy and Collaborative Language Systems in the treatment of trauma.

Audrey has spent much of her life working with and riding horses, competing successfully throughout college, and previously working in positions that allowed her the opportunity to travel internationally with show jumping horses and live abroad in both New Zealand and Australia. In her free time, Audrey enjoys continuing to travel, spending time at the beach, knitting sweaters, and finding the next best cup of coffee.

George Graham

Program Director

George is a CCAPP licensed Clinical Supervisor and Alcohol & Drug Counselor II who currently works as the Program Director with 449. George has extensive work in the field of addiction since 2007 after discovering his true calling; to be a role-model for others struggling with substance use disorder.

Prior to joining the 449 team George was instrumental with assisting in building a primer 87 bed residential treatment facility where he functioned as the Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor; always rising to the needs of the client’s, families and the facility. George’s dedication to his profession is second to none.

As someone who has also experienced an addiction to drugs and alcohol, George understands the personal battle of addiction and has great passion working with clients who have substance abuse issues. Maintaining focus on those who suffer from Dual-Diagnosis as well as substance abuse issues George has found recovery is not just dealing with the use of mood-altering chemicals, it is the underlying issues that need also be dealt with. Rodney Robinson

Co-Founder

In Loving Memory of our Co-Founder Rodney Robinson. 449 Recovery remains dedicated to his vision.

Rodney earned his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. He was employed in the capacity of Group Supervisor in the mental health ward for the State of California Youth Authority for a number of years. He has spent a good portion of his career working with addicted adolescents and their families at the Positive Action Center, located at Chapman Medical Center and as a Clinical Director for Coastal Mountain Youth Academy.

Over a 10 year period of time during the 1990’s, he was employed at Focus Health Care, the most successful treatment program in the country at the time. Rodney was a member of the team of clinical intake assessors who contributed to this success by creating one of the highest conversion rates ever seen in that company in terms of getting people into treatment and then obtaining and sustaining long-term sobriety.  During his stay at Focus Health Care, he was promoted into the lead administrator role and these efforts resulted in an ownership stake in the company which was eventually sold for $96,000,000.

Recently, Rodney’s contribution as Program Director at Ocean Hills Recovery, a leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Southern California, has produced success rates in long-term sobriety of almost 80% consistently over several years.  He also contributed to retaining clients and long term relationships with clients which produced results in revenues that were nearly triple the size of what the company had seen in its existence before Rodney took on his role of Program Director.

Rodney’s skills were vast in his ability to direct employees in a positive and self-supporting modality and create an extremely high rate of employee morale in his workplace.  His experience in the mental health and substance abuse recovery field covers almost 30 years’ time.  His abilities as a therapist in the drug and alcohol treatment field are evident in the vast success rates seen in his clients.  His expertise in business has been consistently proven through his contributions to revenue production seen in every company he has worked for and managed.

In his private practice, his clients have included several well-known actors, a Hall of Fame Director, Major League Baseball players and National Basketball Association members in the chemically dependent and dual diagnosis populations. He has been the subject of numerous radio, newspaper and television interviews and has had a portion of his life depicted in the feature film When a Man Loves a Woman.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Susie, 5 children and 3 grandchildren.

Barek Sharif

Clinical Director

Barek Sharif is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and joined the 449 Recovery family as the acting Clinical Director. He has been working in the field of dual diagnosis for 9 years helping individuals, couples, and families heal from their mental health, relational, and substance use disorders. Barek is also a board approved supervisor, and utilizes the Developmental Narrative Model for the supervision process. Aside from his roles as Clinical Director and supervisor, he maintains a small private practice in Orange County.

Barek obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanguard University in 2005 as well as his Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in 2013. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Alliant International University pursuing his Psy.D in Couples and Family Therapy – completing his dissertation on the topic of social media and substance abuse. He has also taught several workshops ranging in topics from: working with families, attachment injuries, role of spirituality in sobriety, and the role of trauma in relationship development. Barek has also taught courses in Law and Ethics and MFT Theories at Alliant International University.

The belief that relationships are at the core of our search for purpose and meaning is the foundation of Barek’s approach as a clinician. The importance of developing and maintaining authentic relational interactions with others is what drives his passion to provide support to individuals who seek it. This is displayed through his knowledge and use of Collaborative Language Systems and Attachment Theory. In 2018 he completed his EMDR training which reflects his trauma informed interventions to assist individuals in achieving post-traumatic growth. One of Barek’s favorite quotes that encapsulates his clinical and leadership style comes from the humanistic theorist Carl Rogers: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

Outside of his professional life, Barek enjoys spending time with his loving wife and 2 children. He also enjoys camping/hiking, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, watching movies, listening to 90’s grunge/alternative rock, and playing video games.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.449recovery.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/BarekSharif.jpg” title_text=”BarekSharif” align=”center” show_bottom_space_last_edited=”off|desktop” disabled_on=”on|off|off” _builder_version=”4.6.5″ custom_margin=”|||0px” custom_padding=”100px||50px|100px” custom_padding_tablet=”” custom_padding_phone=”20px|||0px|false” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop” admin_label=”Andrew Maloof popup Section” module_id=”MaloofBio” module_class=”popup” _builder_version=”3.25.4″ custom_padding_tablet=”” custom_padding_phone=”0px||” da_is_popup=”on” da_popup_slug=”MaloofBio” da_disable_devices=”off|off|off” da_exit_intent=”off” da_has_close=”on” da_alt_close=”off” da_dark_close=”off” da_not_modal=”on” da_is_singular=”off” da_with_loader=”off” da_has_shadow=”on”][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://www.449recovery.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/SAFE-HARBOR_Andrew-Maloof.jpg” align=”center” show_bottom_space_last_edited=”off|desktop” disabled_on=”off|on|on” _builder_version=”3.25.4″ custom_margin=”|||0px” custom_padding=”100px||50px|100px” custom_padding_tablet=”” custom_padding_phone=”0px||10px|0px|false” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”4.2.2″ custom_padding=”50px||” custom_padding_tablet=”” custom_padding_phone=”0px||” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop”]
